Is your house ready for Diwali?

Diwali is just few days away. Your calendar must be stuffed with a lot of shopping sessions; grand parties; friends and family dropping in and or staying over. Of course before you dive in to the pool of hullabaloo, deck up your home and make it look as pretty as possible and keep it as clean as it can be.

Where to start from?

Let’s begin with your bedroom.

  •          De-clutter the wardrobe. Give away those dresses that you will never wear, those toys and accessories you will never use or had bought long back and still has the tag.
  •          Make three categories of piles: Almost new and to be kept + to be given away or dumped + to be repaired
  •         Dry wash the pillows and their covers; mattresses; quilts; bed sheets/ covers.

In Kitchen, ensure that all containers are washed and wiped properly, in addition to the chimney and other electrical equipment like refrigerator, microwave oven etc. Take care of the storage areas of the Diwali sweets, and snacks (especially dry one) as they are likely to attract ants, moisture/ fungus etc.

Bathrooms tiles, washbasins and cupboards should be cleaned and wiped with disinfectants and harmless chemicals. Put a new fragrance bar. Check the geyser and the things placed inside.

The glass windows of the house have to be cleaned. At times, you get certain stains on the glass windows and doors but it is better you let provider of Window Glass Cleaning Services in Delhi handle it.

Not to miss out on the carpets, table covers, cushion and curtains. Dry clean them and put them indoors. You can get some new ones and use them.

Bulbs, fans, ACs and LED/ LCD screens should be dry wiped. Take care while wiping the outer surface of the wires. Unplug all of them before you start cleaning them.

You may get in touch with Housekeeping Agencies in Delhi NCR to help you out in cleaning each and every corner of the house.
